GET ON YOUR BIKE Ever wanted to get back in the saddle?, loose a few pounds?, get fit again? or just have a day of fun, well your chance is about to come. This year's event will take place on Sunday, July 3rd. All riders and supporters are asked to meet in the Castle Car Park, Llandovery in time for a 10am start. The route, which is approximately 17 miles in length will take a tour of the town first, visiting the usual Llanfair Grange and Picton Court residential homes. Then it is out of town and off to Llangadog, where a refreshment break will be taken before returning back to Llandovery for the finish and prize giving. All monies raised this year will once again be donated to Cancer Research Wales PennyFarthing Appeal, for their Velindre hospital. Find out more on them by using the link on our link page.  WHAT WILL I NEED? Well a bike would be good. Either ride your own, or get in touch with us, and we will sort a classic out for you. Fancy dress has been optional in past years, but it really does make the ride more fun. Sponsorship. Lets not forget what we are doing this for. Collect as much as you can from family, friends, work colleagues etc. The ability to have a great time is essential. If you are a miserable old git, then just give a donation. Only joking. |

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT You will be cycling about 17 miles through the Towy Valley, which is full of picturesque views, loaded with history, and lots of wildlife. Where else can you do all this whilst raising much needed funding for research into one of the Worlds biggest killers. You will also be doing this with people you may have never met before, who are there to have fun. Complete the course and you will receive a medal and a certificate. There is also a charity shield for the person who collects the most sponsorship, and an additional prize for "Best Fancy Dress". There will be opportunity for food and drink, some alchoholic, around the course, so you may choose not to carry your own. Ride is controlled by the slowest rider, so all abilities can take part. A raffle will also be held on the day. Sponsor forms are available direct from us, so request one now by e-mail or post.
